Feathers and Fins Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 No but you did put your daughter in the lockers.... That was stupid because now she has a gauge for what size things she can store in it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Champ188 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 By the way, if any of you Beaver guys ever see this boat, run fast and far the other direction. You are nowhere near a bass --- at least not one that will bite. For someone with a pretty fair tournament record elsewhere, I am pure fish repellent on Beaver. Epic fail. Consistently. Not even ashamed to talk about it anymore. It's at the point of being downright humorous.
Feathers and Fins Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Lurkers annoy me, kind of like a thief if you ask me, and a thief is the lowest form of humanity and that is NOT a humble opinion. I don't care if people don't want to get in to detail or give locations that's cool. But at least make the report and what bait and depth. Beaver is a very big body of water and if you are here learning from people how about helping a little as well. When I started the FB Page for Beavers fishing reports I didn't think I would get any feedback for info but surprisingly im getting messages to help build a weekly report which im going to try and have posted every Friday to help the mom and dad get their kids on fish. And there are other resources in the works to help with that goal. Doc and others who know don't say yet final details still being worked out. To me fishing is all about passing on knowledge and helping people catch fish. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
nathanhooper Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I think a lot of people view it like I do hunting. I don't mind people knowing where I hunt, but when I am hunting I like to be alone. I think that a lot of people want to be alone while they are fishing, at least not have a lot of other boats around. I am finding the opposite to be true though. Seems like the more boats around the better a person does. To an extent at least. I am sure if a guy was sitting still on the water it would be a hindrance to have others constantly going by you. I think its like that with any public thing. And as bad as it kills me to say it, its only going to get worse as this area grows. Just pure averages will dictate that the more people who move into this area, the more people with boats and such will also. So its something we will have to live with. I was fishing an area yesterday that I would call "small" by most standards. However, I started thinking that I could spend hours in that area covering it and still feel like I had missed some spots of it. So the way I see it is the more people talk about what is going on in the lake the better. If other boats were in the area they could have picked apart some of it and we could all came to the conclusion that there were not any active fish. And if there was active fish, then we take turns catching them. I know of several people who troll together in separate boats and they make it work just fine. Plenty of lake for everyone. Just got to give the other guy some room, and if your going to follow anyone around make sure its F&F or Doc....
J-Doc Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 It's a good thing I don't own Jolicious's 21ft Legend. NO ONE would be "following me". LOL! That darn boat does not like to lose in a race. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
zarraspook Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Sweet looking ride.... But, I would buy some "velcro" soled shoes, with all the "Queen Mary" size wakes I have seen and been in on Beaver... "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"
Members showmebass Posted July 22, 2014 Members Posted July 22, 2014 You know what........challenge accepted. I welcome the opportunity to meet new forum members. If anyone recognizes me...........come say hi. I'll share. Nothing to hide and if someone wants some very quick down and dirty how-to on sonar, I'm more than happy to help because I know how much I learned in one fishing trip from someone who understood sonar. It change how I fish for the better. Here's my boat............come find me. Now that I think of it - I'm pretty sure I saw you on the water around PC this past weekend. Next time I'll briefly stop by and say hey.

How hard are those to install, and how bad is the "wind resistance"? Can it be mounted on top of the outboard instead of on the gunnel ? And lastly, are OAF members allowed to use it if we see you on the lake?

It will mount to any brand of rig with the correct adapter kit. I hear they unveiled a new PowerPoop model at this year's I-Cast show that mounts to PowerPoles, therefore providing the first-ever useful purpose in highland reservoirs for these previously $6,000 "look at me, I'm a PRO" boat appendages. PowerPoop jerseys and boat/tow vehicle wraps to be available soon.
