Hog Wally Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 There is nice channels now on nearly every riffle. This weekend there was an amazing amount of boats. I ran from pacific to below times beach and from 30 bridge to meramec caverns It wasn't boring but it was uneventful.
Blazerman Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 That is a lot of running Aaron. I was amazed at how many boats were out. Lots of shoal runners and blazers. Saw the usual wrecks too. One guy hit a rock just downstream of the k bridge and lost control and flew onto the shore on the right side. luckily none of them were hurt but they had a hell of a time getting the boat back in the water. And you and your brother and the other River Pro runners that never have any issues. Must be nice.
Hog Wally Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 That wreck was a buddy of mine ( knucklehead) I sat below my ramp and watched 5 consecutive boats pile it up on a shoal. I didn't see u at the apple butter ball?
Blazerman Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 We were there for a little while but didn't stay late. Went to another gathering just upstream and hung out there. I got up and went fishing Sunday\ Monday. Suprisingly i caught quite a few fish on various baits, including a 24" flathead on a spinnerbait.
Hog Wally Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I seen you throwing that spinnerbait--- interesting. My buddy caught a walleye on one like that. That spot u were in throwing it, I've caught some nice walleye there.
