A night fisherman from the SK bridge had the hitch receiver pin removed from his truck while fishing last Saturday. They didn't know it until they tried to pull the boat out. Fortunately, the safety chains worked and the trailer didn't land on the ground. Also the same weekend, a truck with boat trailer attached was pushed or allowed to roll into the lake at Big Bay ramp. Keep a sharp eye out and buy some locks and an extra pin. What kind of ^+#*& holes would do that?

I have had two sets of hubs taken off my trailer in broad daylight at the SK bridge ramp, so I'm not surprised. Anyone that would leave their truck and trailer at the Big Bay Ramp does not deserve to have it bothered but that is kind of like putting a plate of hamburger in front of a dog and telling him not to eat it while your away for the day.

This is why I always use a lock on my receiver and hitch. $12 worth of security plus it keeps the hitch locked down in the off chance it would come lose.

That kind of stuff is what got me to packin' when night fishing or fishing by myself in the winter.

I keep my draw bars locked on. I've had two stolen and if my b&w hitches got stolen I'd be mad.
