Feathers and Fins Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 If you haven't heard Muck Boots supports HSUS, As a sportsman that is enough to make me never buy their product again, As a member of a farming family it would make me not want to buy the product again. But as someone who has had run ins with Hsus in the past and seen them destroy animals I can tell you I will not support Muck again. This is something I thought many of you would like to know. The Original Muck Boot Company August 1 We lost a member of the Muck Team at our fundraiser for The Humane Society of the United States. Guest Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I never cared for Muck boots, Ive always worn LaCrosse Alpha burly. I will be sure to pass this along.
Feathers and Fins Posted August 5, 2014 Author Posted August 5, 2014 Troph I seldom get mad its just not in me but HSUS is a button that will turn on my attack button. I ve gone up against them before and they are not friends of animals I have watched them destroy animals for no reason when they had volunteers ready to take them and vets ready to help the sick ones. I would love to see them abolished by law. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Feathers and Fins Posted August 5, 2014 Author Posted August 5, 2014 Im no fan of a company that is not telling the truth and then covering it up with a falsehood... Muck is going to need some DRAKE chest waders if they keep it up... There Statement The Original Muck Boot Company 2 hours ago We would like to respond to our loyal customers and provide additional information about recent posts on social media regarding a monetary donation to a local animal care organization. Our post inaccurately stated that a donation was made to The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). Moreover, the post itself was inappropriate under the circumstances. Family members of an employee who rece...ntly passed away requested that, in lieu of flowers, co-workers donate funds to the Humane Association of Northwestern Rhode Island, a local association founded in 1978 to solve community issues primarily related to stray cats. They are not affiliated with HSUS as the posts incorrectly stated. The money is not a corporate donation, but a collection of personal contributions from employees with the intent of remembering a beloved co-worker. While our intentions were good, the use of corporate social channels under these circumstances was inappropriate. Muck Boots has a heritage of respect for the outdoors and for nature. We apologize for the anger and confusion the posts have caused and have removed them from our social channels. BUT UM seems not true Statement from Humane Association of Northwest Rhode Island Humane Association of Northwestern Rhode Island 58 minutes ago Okay folks to clear things up - WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED A DONATION FROM MUCK BOOTS! WE ARE NOT AFIILIATED WITH THE HSUS. Although a $2000 donation would be very nice. But please stop calling us to ask, we have enough to do caring for the animals in our shelter and taking care of out clinic patients. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
jdmidwest Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Local farm CO-OP carries them an I own a pair of the least insulated ones that sweat my feet off when I wear them. They are slick as hell in wet grass and developed a leak that I had to repair with aquaseal early on in their life. That said, they are good to tuck my pants into when I work my bees and ticks bounce off of them pretty well. I will not buy another pair because of the quality vs price. Lots of companies donate to the HSUS not knowing what their real agenda is. We do, and hopefully we voted today to put a stop to them here in MO today. My reasons will be not to buy another pair because of the overpriced crap they make. They were an innovator when they first came out, but others have made better products now. If you really want to get critical, look into how much your pet food companies donate to them. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Members dmorgan66 Posted February 12, 2015 Members Posted February 12, 2015 Deceptive marketing drawing from sympathies of true animal lovers. I have read/heard, can't verify it to be fact, that of all the money from donations they bring in not a dime actually go to supporting local Humane Society efforts. Regardless, I have read enough about them that I am not a fan.
Terrierman Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Bogs are better boots anyway. Mark me down as another one who despises HSUS.
