Feathers and Fins Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 interesting that some very prized species eat the invasive sounds like the perfect opportunity to heavily stock the lake as a prevention method with some very much wanted species. A win for Conservation and Protection of the resource and Fishermen does look like one of those rare times everyone would be happy. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

MOPanfisher Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I think the problem with stocking redears or shell crackers to control the Zebra's is that once attached the zebras would be very difficult for a fish to get loose from a structure. They could handily eat if they did get it loose but they do attach pretty well.
Diamond City Fisher Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Found these zebra mussels near the swim beach in Lead Hill Park this morning. Good population of zebra mussels all along the shore. We found these in about 4 inches of water.
