Went out to hook up the boat this AM, left rear tire was flat. Pulled it and found a 3" nail was the culprit. Tire is about 6 weeks old. Grrrrrr....

Dude that is terrible........

I'll take a flat tire over a wrecked boat any day though. Maybe it was for your benefit in the long term.

Worst part was the lug nuts - took everything I had to break those suckers loose. Getting old I guess. But new tire is on, ready to fish.

Yeah and now it's 30-40% chance of thunderstorms. Your luck is spreading. :-p

Sorry to hear that, Jeff. Wish I'd been in the area to help. I have a battery operated Ingersoll Rand impact wrench that would have made very short of those lug nuts. Glad you got it fixed up, but it sucks it cost you a day of fishing.

In the 35 years I lived in MN, I think I had one flat that was "road hazard" related. Since moving to AR 9 years ago, I've had at about 5 or 6. And I used to travel FAR more gravel roads up north (Pheasant hunting) than I do now.

Thanks for the tip on that impact wrench. I'll have to get one, don't think my back could handle another battle with those lug nuts.

Thanks for the offer, F&F, I was able to get them off, but looking towards the future I don't want to have to do it the old fashioned manual way again.
