This is how I run it, The green dots represent trees. The yellow is the path I choose. I side scanned that whole flat, and didn't see anything, but you never know. I have ran the channel along the bluff, but there is one spot that is tricky over there. Where the channel leaves the bluff for about 50 yards. I have hit there before. Also in front of point nine there is a huge stump out off that point that has got me before too.

I was going to mention that big tree by point 9. It's kinda out in the middle out from the north point of the point 9 cove. Basically left of the arrow in zaras post. If you stay left of center you should be good. It's a big sucker though.

Btw point 9 isn't point 9 anymore.

Thanks for all the help! I was out on Stockton today and ventured up there with all the info you guys passed along and made it through that area....I idled a lot going through the three areas above with the sidescan on to make sure I got a good feel of what was out there. I didn't get up all the way to Greenfield but pretty close...decided to fish some good looking bluff end and was able to catch a few shorts. Put it on pad and ran it back out the whole way...well except for where the channel swings across the lake...idled there. Once again thanks for all the help...looking forward to spending more time up in that area exploring

If you are new to the area and running toward CC ramp, there is one more stump you need to watch out for. The last turn before the ramp there is a lone stump out in the middle. If you make a wide turn you would be getting pretty close to it. It is right below the "A" in "Stockton Lake" on the map.post-16718-0-23641300-1408233472.png

Remember - If at first you DO succeed, try not to act surprised & quit while you're ahead.

Thanks for the additional helps up on that stump....I stopped short and fished the other end of that bluff...so I didn't go up to that area but was planning too the next time out there. I will keep that stump in mind and stay closer to the right. Thanks again
