The one thing I want to see happened this year is for somehow Oklahoma and South Carolina to meet in a bowl game or in the playoff. With the way Spurrier and Stoops like take jabs at other teams those press conferences would be epic.

I am looking forward to playing Arkansas finally and starting that rivalry and I am glad this is the last year we play A@M for awhile. I think this the 5th year in a row...nothing against them, but I would like to see some other teams from the west we haven't seen yet.

I wish I could give you some grief Ham, but the Piggies stink so bad, that it makes it hard to think of anything to come back at you with.

That is unproven yet So I'm optimistic till after week 4 and if we beat the Fly Circus this weekend it could be a moral boost that sets the tone for the season. This Game could be the turning point or it could be the continuation of the mudslide.

Heck Man, LSU considers Tulane a bigger rival. It isn't about skill level so much as it is about animosity. LSU just doesn't hate the Piggies enough to make it interesting. In "the Golden Boot" era, it's been 12-6 in favor of LSU. Arkansas is often very competitive against LSU and has indeed upset them more times than I would like, but I'd believe in a Muslin Rabbi more than I would that LSU is running scared from Arky.

It might be a long range recruiting deal wanting to get LSU in the minds of young TX football talent.

I feel college football to be the only sport other than rugby worth watching or following, Unfortunately, my favorite team, OU, is almost impossible for me to watch. None the less. I hope you all enjoy the season. Boomer Sooner!

Well you can have the rugby, but I've not missed many OU games in the last 50+ years. I will admit I have questioned why a few years. I'm comfortable with them of of late. There have been some disapointments, but that's to be expected. I doubt few thought they would beat Bama last year and I doubt many Bama fans had any thoughts of a loss. Thay's college football.

There are some unproven areas this year, the unstoppable running backs, the red zone line that can push, and of course can Knight play every game like he's facing Bama.

Not a great opening weekend by most standards, but it's not terrible. A&M/South Carolina tonight should be very onesided. No Manziel, and that Aggie run defense against Mike Davis......Spurrier has already started laughing maniacally.

As for the MU/Arky rivalry.....it's not that yet, not in football anyway (basketball's a different story.) It may become one, but for now it's just game #12 for both teams.

Mizzou has the perfect schedule for making a bowl game. They will be heavily favored in 6 games (SDSU, @ Toledo, Indiana, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and Arkansas) and a slight favorite in 2 more (UCF and Tennessee.) I also think A&M will be really beatable, though I think Mizzou is actually an early underdog.

But to win the east again they're gonna have to survive @USC, UGA, and @UF back to back to back. Winning 2 of 3 is a tall order and might not even be enough. Realistically, they face a strong possibility of starting 0-3 in conference even if they play at a top 25 level. They could still recover and finish 8-4 or 9-3 in that case, but they would be stuck at 3-4th in the division.

Tebow as a SEC commentator is annoying just FYI but the SEC Network im liking so far. 3 good games on the tube tonight so if ATM is getting Blown out I can flip over to OLE MISS or even Vandy

Yeah, I'm a big fan of SEC Network. Always having the option to flip over to some type of SEC game will be a real boon when it's some awful Big Ten game on ESPN or ABC. For example, we can now watch Auburn/Arkansas when we might otherwise be stuck with Northwestern/Cal midday Saturday. At least the first game has 1 good team.

One thing I will enjoy is watching Missouri's Big 12(-2) replacement get beaten up on by 'bama.

Ok who are these Aggies, they have a run game and a defense? this could be a interesting, they wernt suppose to go to SC and abuse them like this. is it a fluke 1st quarter or did everyone get to focused on JF leaving and assume the aggies wouldn't be good?
