Flysmallie Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Not. Getting. Dragged. Into. Another. Spotted bass. Argument. It wasn't an argument it was a simple question. You refuse to answer because you know the answer is nothing. If you want to bring up how much you support something you need to be prepared to give a reason why.
Mitch f Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 They say bad things about them. That's what I thought.Spotted bass are a different problem than poaching. Every year the MSA has a spotted bass roundup to kill as many juveniles as they can (within limits) on selected stretches. It's next weekend, can you two go? http://myemail.constantcontact.com/Spotted-Bass-Roundup--Saturday-September-6th-.html?soid=1103909911520&aid=kcfvzvA5W44 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
fishinwrench Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Yeah I'll participate, but not on the Bourby. I'll kill a few for the cause on a different watershed. I don't wanna eat them though because the spots in streams around here have more weight in worms than they do meat. Why is the bourb highlighted in this regard ? Is it among the worst case spotted bass intrusion victim list ? Or is it serving as a chosen testing area to see if awareness and action can indeed make a difference ?

The boy thinks everyone on here wants a fight and all I wanted is an example since he brought it up. Next weekend? No. But it would have been nice to have posted it earlier so folks could have made plans.
fishinwrench Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Speaking of the worms, I'd like to know if the smallies are as heavily infested with them, but I don't want to kill one to find out. Anyone know ?

Flysmallie Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 My fault, I've known about it for a couple of weeks but I couldn't attend so I kind of dismissed it. Not blaming you. Plus it's kind of hard for folks over here to get too worked up about the invasive spotted bass.

fishinwrench Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Yeah, they just look at me like I'm crazy for asking.
