Members NIANGUA RIVER RANCH Posted September 1, 2014 Members Posted September 1, 2014 i came across this site by accident- but have enjoyed learning the history of our property- but would love to learn more. we are the new, new owners of the niangus river ranch - we actually renamed it niangua blue springs ranch. i had no clue there use to be a camp here. i wondered why there were such 'remains' at the springs of a 'prior life' if anyone could share with me more information- or pictures- i would be so appreciative. or any history of the land itself- dealing with anything that would have been on the property at one time, etc. i would mention, in the nicest way i can, simply, because that is how i came across this sight- the property does encompass 5 miles of private river front on both sides of the river. while, obviously, we do not mind those who pass on by on their tubes and in their canoes - especially with a friendly wave- we, like most of you im sure, just want to preserve the beauty of the river----- especially the blue spring- therefore it is marked as private property w/ no trespassing signs. most importantly- i should also note there is NO TAKE OUT available on the property. the property is gated all the way around... and cell service is non existent. just ask the poor people who - just tonight- missed their take out- actually taking out on our neighbors property- no telling how far they had to drag their kayaks - it was several miles. so- it is just friendly info that i pass along- there is not a take out at blue springs anymore- it is private property- with no access to get in and down to it nor access to get out if you take out there. thanks in advance for any info on the history r

Preserving the beauty ? With the signs below the high water mark ? Your "pass on by" request sounds as if you take issue with someone stepping out of their boat while along YOUR 5 miles of frontage. Is that the case here?
lee G. Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 That was really a nice part of the river in the 60's and 70's. Wish I was young again!
Goggle-Eyed Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your purchase. I have 30 years of memories from the property you own. Did you buy the Jet jons as well? The river has been pretty low this year so I have only done one day trip in my paddle jon. I usually do at least 1 overnight trip every year, I hope to meet you on one of my future trips. If you ever want to hear information about the campgrounds that were on your property or the little cabin that the owners of Blue Springs lived in form many years you can pm me. I highly suggest you research and read a little Missouri Case Law, just so you have a clear understanding of your rights and the floaters' rights... I would start with Elder v Delcour Joe

Members Corky 69 Posted September 2, 2014 Members Posted September 2, 2014 Unless your from New York, I thought the Seasons never closed here in the Ozarks!!!!!!
