luckycraft Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I figure I will actually contribute to this thread and thank fin and feathers and billethead for all their posts. Well, Headed out this morning chasing some teal. No scouting, no report from anyone, Just my dog myself and a plan. Woke up at 4 cooked some coffee and hit the road. Got to the hunting destination in plenty of time and started setting decoys. Put the mojo out first and turn her on, when 4 blue wings landed 5 feet from me. I literally said "you got to be kidding me." Well my confidence went through the roof. Finished throwing decoys (only 9 floaters and the mojo) and hit the brush. Had several large groups scream by over head, heading out to feed. Only small groups 1-4 ducks wanted to decoy and like teal fashion came in low and hot. I burned some gun powder and blew holes in the sky, but did manage to dump 1 teal hen. Seriously planned on going out and sitting for a few hours but the action was a lot better than I expected. My best friend had a great time.
