Terrierman Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 wasn't it just last year that you Chef supporters were wanting Reid axed and Smith gone? Nope.

Wayne SW/MO Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 That always happens Jerry. There's a poster on thsi thread who has said Smith will never make it. Smith is the fifth winningest QB since '11. and started the season without the star running back and a patched up line. It's like fishing, you can't judge a water in a cold front. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Terrierman Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Alex Smith was good in S.F. and he's still good in K.C. Best QB we have had in a long time.
Quillback Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 LOL, Smith is at best average. He does well if he doesn't have to throw it more that 20 yards downfield. He's a "game manager" QB. Chiefs can certainly win with Smith or any average QB, at least in the regular season.
ozark trout fisher Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 A lot of teams would be ecstatic to have Smith. He isn't the guy you lean on to carry your team, but he gets the job done. If that doesn't sound good, look at Tampa Bay, STL, Buffalo, Cleveland, Jacksonville, New York (Jets), Tennessee, or Washington. Having a guy you can consistently win with is a luxury at least half of the NFL doesn't have. Only a precious few have a QB you can win because of. It would appear that even Tom Brady isn't in that category. The last two superbowl champs have had good, but definitely not great (in Russell Wilson's case, at least yet) QBs.
ness Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Nothing makes me happier than wstching the Patriots get deystroyed. Well done KC. I'm with you there, but seeing Gisele's man all blue is even better. Boo-freakin-hoo! John
BATCAB27 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I think Alex is better than average. He's no Aaron Rodgers, but is he better than Jay Cutler, Matt Stafford...??? He doesn't have the arm strength that those guys do, but that gets those guys in trouble sometimes. I expect a big day from Alex this weekend against his former team.
Lancer09 Posted October 3, 2014 Author Posted October 3, 2014 I'm with you there, but seeing Gisele's man all blue is even better. Boo-freakin-hoo! If she is upset with Tommy Boy I would volunteer to help her get over the loss...
