10-5-14 Minimum Flow White River Trip

Grizwilson and his wife are down for a few days. Griz and I have been trying to fish together for about a year. Schedule conflicts, bad weather, illness, and changing plans all worked against us, but finally we got to fish together on the White today.

Griz fished with his wife this morning, but he was nice enough to join me for a couple of hours this afternoon. We started a little after four and quit a little after six. We caught them early and often and left them biting.

We had 12 doubles. I ended up with 40. I lost both the bigger trout I had hooked. Griz went all Liitle Red Fisherman on me and caught a really nice smallie (about 16 inches). Griz had caught them on a Zig Jig before but really seemed to put it all together when we fished together. We was catching them really good the second half of our trip

Good fisherman and a good guy. I hope he's able to make the Jigfest deal. Thanks Griz!

Awesome guys! Look forward to meeting Griz this winter at the "Jigfest"...lol. If he can catch smallies while trout fishing on the white, that's my kinda guy... Sounds like a great day guys, I got to put in 13 hours today hauling soybeans, hope you feel my pain right now....

KOKO LRF. I appreciate what you do. This is one of your busiest times of the year. It wasn't really a day. I left the house at about 330 PM and was home right aroud 7 PM. So just a quick trip

I grilled some steaks that my wife had marinated and we had baked sweet potatoes on the side. I finished off the last of the Chocolate Bread Pudding I made last Sunday. Good eats.

Another good trip with another "stranger" that became a friend thru OA. He did hog all the smallies though so I may have to rethink this.

I'm ready for another white river smallie this winter!! lol. Might holler at you this fall if we get done in time. it's looking to be like closer to the end of November this year tho... Keeps up all this raining they are forcasting, I may have to get out of here for my sanity and come to Mt. Home for some aqua therapy!!

We had a great trip, Ham helped me Improve my Zig Jig fishing tremendously. He is a fishing machine. They were running about 2500 the last two days. Shared what Ham taught me with my wife. Monday afternoon about 4 she said "I am tired of catching fish, and have cramps in my hands from catching so many" Need to get one of those clickers like Ham's so I can give an accurate count, but she and I had 10 doubles yesterday and 8 today. Had a swell time with a swell guy, look forward to fishing again.
