Pretty tough when 16 pounds wins among those boys, especially with a six-fish limit. Weights dropped off pretty fast going down the line, too.

I fished the last two days in the dam area with my dad and it is brutal. Could not hardly buy a bite. All the fish we caught were on a jig. Caught a few deep off of points and some shallow. Caught one or two on some docks. It's the toughest time I've had fishing down here in quite some time. The conditions seem like the fish would bite, but they thought otherwise. Probably could of had a better few days if we would have ran up to long creek or the James but did not make the trip.

the fishing has definitely been better at night. but, the daytime bite will get better as the water temps drop.

Will agree with the dam area being really, really touch this weekend. Fished hard on Saturday and only managed 5 keeper bites, and every one of them was well earned. Over the past few weeks, this area has just gotten tougher and tougher for me. All the folks I was fishing with had brutal days as well. 1 fish doing this, another doing that, but rarely 2 doing the same thing.

Dang it Aaron, don't say that! Miss Sherry, lil but, and I are headed up to Branson this weekend. I'll have the Beast (like I ever leave home without her - haha!). It's supposed to be easy this time of year on the Rock!
