J-Doc Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Another striper or another victim to the trolling bug? I will say this, I've spent enough time and gas flinging lures at bass on Beaver to not feel guilty at all about a little trolling action. It's all about that tug on the line, right? Same here with me. I still bass fish. But there is at the very least $300-400 worth of bass baits at the bottom of the lake from me bass fishing over the years. And I've learned far more about fishing, the lake, and fish behavior from trolling than bass fishing. I enjoy both. And stripers, it's my mission to catch as many as possible (legally) so Champ feels warm and fuzzy about it. :-) Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!

Oh, definitely another striper. It's a running joke with me. I take no exception with nor criticize another man's style of fishing. Some people like flinging $300 hand-carved swim baits at bass. Others like dunking redworms for bluegill. I'm good with all of it. We're all out there to enjoy ourselves, so whatever makes us happy is what we should do. And if another striper perishes in the meantime, all the better!
