Why Do People Do This?

Got down to BSSP in CG4, very beautiful all the fall colors, leaves all around, not too many people here yet. Then I hear the distinct sound of a leave blower. Are you fricking kidding me. There is a guy with his leaf blower out cleaning not only his spot but all the neighbors as well. Seriously can't people understand some of the reason people come down is to get away from all that kind of crap!!

The boss won't let me deal with it as she thinks I may go off on someone. Probably would.

Guess he needed a beer our two and some noise to drown out his wife's chatter? We have a leaf blower in our camper FWIW. Comes in handy sometimes.

I always kick the leaves away from the fire pit to keep the fire from jumping out. But, if I had a blower I would use it. Camping in a campground is like spending a weekend in town anyway.

I would think raking or sweeping aound the fire pit would suffice iothout all the noise.

I sometimes take a weedeater and a chainsaw on camping trips, so I can't bitch to hard about a leaf blower.

That is a different kind of clearing of the camp. Although, the way they run alot of the state parks any more, I can see the need for a weedeater and a chainsaw.
