Members Sodakrep Posted October 27, 2014 Members Posted October 27, 2014 LOL, anyone that has deer hunted for more than 10 minutes has made a bad shot or a bad decision. The hunter may have been 13, it coulda been his first buck, he could have hit a limb, he could have made a bad shot, or he could have made a very poor decision on taking a shot. When hunting, bow hunting in particular, so much can go wrong. Does the shot look like a horrible one? Absolutely. Was the hunter that took it scum? Possibly. Does anyone on here know? No. I agree.
Pepe Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 I used to love ripping through the local twisty roads on a sport bike in the fall. I could gear up and be comfortable and the roads were clearer after school started. Constant downside was crazy deer. Lost a good friend that way. I'm not a hunter but I am sure in support of those who are. I gave up on riding though. I dont have the reflexes anymore and texting drivers are worse than the deer. I had to wave the white flag. As Dirty Harry said "A man has got to know his limitations" Fishing suits me fine now.
Sore Thumbs Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Used to ride sportbikes myself. Gave em up when I had kids. Part of the reason I took up fishing. Man I wish I would have started fishing earlier. I enjoy it so much more than riding. Those deer can jack you up on a bike.

jay bird Posted October 27, 2014 Author Posted October 27, 2014 Did any one notice that it is a piebald deer (brown and white). Do they have a population down there in holiday island???
vonreed Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Did any one notice that it is a piebald deer (brown and white). Do they have a population down there in holiday island??? lol that's not piebald. It's from floating in the water for quite a while and the hair slipping off the skin. It's what happens in the water because the maggots can't get to it.

Ham Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I saw a floater yesterday in Norfork. I'll assume it didn't drown on it's own. The crawfish should eat well for a while. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

I thought for sure that was hair slippage. I was wrong. I'd gamble to say that it being piebald like that is a good reason someone might of taken a bad shot at it possibly. Being desperate to get it because of it's unique color.
