merc1997 Bo Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 here we are at the time of year that bank beaters and the deep water wizards should both be happy. and, for some of us, that love to catch them anyway they come, we get to enjoy both on the same outing. this is the time of the year that fishing the SP's have produced very well for me. for those that have not figured out sp's yet, it would be spinners, spooks, and spoons. nothing is better than to start out the morning with a spinner or spook, and late morning get out the spoon and continue to whack them. for me, the added bonus for this time of year is that the night bite is really getting good because the better bass are up on the bank at night. i know there are many that hit the woods this time of the year, but this is a great time of the year to whack them, and you do not have to put up with all the barge traffic of summer. bo

I have been over 7 mos. on the bank and no immediate improvement in site. Been through about everything medically available and still back to square # 1. I keep asking myself is it time for a tackle and boat auction?? I think I am down to my last resort, pain pills and traction.

Don't give up, man. There's a lot of fish out there yet to be caught.
Hazbin Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Thanks guys for all your heartfelt thoughts and prayer. Rest assured they are greatly appreciated. You know I read all your reports with great interest and I am so impressed with your prowess and ability to locate and catch fish under all kinds and adverse conditions. You are all truly amazing and loaded with talent and ability. I feel there isn't a one of you that could not compete on the pro trail if you so desired. I extend my prayers to Stacey and his family too. I remember when Stacey first started fishing tournaments back in the mid-70's with the old Poor Boy Bass Assoc., we drew each other out several times and he was a fun guy to fish with. He had buddied, up with Big Jack Farris, who was probably the premier spinner bait fisherman of that time and I am sure he learned a lot from him and others in that circuit, as there were a lot a very good fisherman involved, including Charlie Campbell. Thanks again Guys, You are all truly class acts on here!, Bud
96 CHAMP Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Thanks for all your thoughts guys had to remodel a bathroom for my brother, he had a series of 3 strokes and they found out he has stage 3 lung cancer never smoked a day in his life, I had the most and gear ready since September and then this happened, well anyway I got it all done and due to the funds I spent on the project, table rock is out of the question so I went to buddy's house down here on Indian creek at loz. And decided to pursue white bass, I have never caught so many quality size whites before, hard to believe if you have never pursued these fish but all of these fish I caught with the boat in 5' of water casting a 1/4 oz vibric spinner right on the bank in a small wind blown pocket. Got my possession limit and plenty of good estimate for the winter, also caught quite a few bass and catfish which were returned to the big drink!! Probably be early spring before I get back to table rock but want to wish you all happy holidays and thank all for all the post, I may not be at the lake but am here on ozark anglers daily!!!
