mixermarkb Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 I went out on Bull today. Caught one bass on a wart, several more on traps, a few on spinnerbaits, and a few on jigs. All in all, it was a lot tougher day than I thought it would/should be. I did have my 7 year old and his grandpa with me though, so maybe had I not been "guiding" I could have caught a few more myself... My hat is off to Bill and the others here who are for real guides! I'm crazy tired from two days of ducking baits and untangling and tying and answering questions and...
mixermarkb Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 This one made my day though, he caught it all by himself, he likes keitech swimbaits now... LOL
mixermarkb Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 And for the record, that rain gear is about 2 sizes too big for him, he IS wearing his PFD, he's just got it on under his coat.
5bites Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 My hat is off to Bill and the others here who are for real guides! I'm crazy tired from two days of ducking baits and untangling and tying and answering questions and... Man I hear that! I often get a little to focused on trying to figure them out and get frustrated with the things I should be focusing on and that's my boys and I just having a great day together. Nice pic and good job!
Pepe Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 I am cleaning my office out, instead of fishing and can't believe how much junk I have. Anyone need a Palm Pilot or a cell phone the size of a lantern battery? I will be at TR this weekend though, and then to Louisiana with a friend to try for Redfish. Been on my bucket list for decades
Champ188 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Hats off to you mixer for sharing your time, boat, etc. to take those fellows fishing. There'll be plenty of other times to bear down and get serious about catching them. Making memories for them and you is a noble pursuit.
