5bites Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Good report! I assume the cadence was pretty quick? I'm surprised the blade didn't dominate.
Donna G Posted November 16, 2014 Author Posted November 16, 2014 Good report! I assume the cadence was pretty quick? I'm surprised the blade didn't dominate. We were surprised about the blade, too. Yes, cadence was quick. Twitch-twitch and then 4-5 count. Not like the mind-numbing slowness later in the season. Champ188 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Here are a couple of our better fish. The spot was one of those true Table Rock thumpers ... a solid 3.5 pounds. Love those things. We launched at Old 86 and never got more than 2 miles in any direction from there. And yes, 5bites, we were snapping that jerk bait pretty fast ... no more than 3-second pauses. Overall, a fun day with my best buddy. Only saw one other boat all day.
huntest Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Nice catching in some tough conditions. I hope the road wasn't slick on your way home.
fishingaddiction Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Good looking fish. Thx for posting the pics and sharing how ya'll were working the sticker. How bout them HOGS. Whooo Pig Souee! Glad to see Mizzou get the win over T A & M also. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
Quillback Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Uh-oh, Champ let the cat out of the bag as far as the "secret" jerkbait color. But then again, it could be a decoy.
fishingaddiction Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Looks like the 110, but can't get the color. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
Champ188 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Photo is really back-lit, so the true color of the bait isn't showing. That's a version of Table Rock Shad ... purple back, lime-greenish side.
