Covering Cooper is a nightmare for anyone, He of all the Heisman potentials is the one I feel most deserving of it ( my opinion ). Bama looked beatable in the first half second half looked like demons on a mission. FloridUH State would not want to meet Bama in the championship if last nights second half Bama showed up

Florida State will get crushed by the first team they play in the CFP (that's if G. Tech. doesn't do us all a favor by getting it over with on Saturday, and there's a great chance they will.) They have toyed with Boston College, Miami, NC State, and come out okay.

Try that against Oregon, and tell me how that goes. You might be down 41-7 at half-time. The ONLY way FSU wins a championship this year is if they have a whole other level they just haven't shown us yet because of the quality (or lack thereof) of competition.

Once again I have to ask how AL maintains their protected status? They just gave up more more points to Auburn then any other SEC team? They don't show as much clout as several teams under them. This to me is what makes this commitee very suspect, it appears they are just looking at records and nothing else and then relying on history.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I think after this week it should be 1. Oregon 2. Alabama 3. TCU 4. FSU

To me, FSU is closer to falling out of the playoff than moving up. Oregon has been dominant, but they will have a tough conference title game. Ohio State may well lose to Wisconsin, and Baylor looked awful.

I'm not too concerned about who is #1 right now, just who is in the top 4. I think Alabama is justified in being in the top 4, but they still have to get by Mizzou.

Wayne your point is very valid to me, it should be the entire season based on strength of schedule first then head to head outcomes versus ranked opponents and then on to Head to head Conference play and Division play.

I kept hearing yesterday how the committee would be looking at injuries possibly as part of that. Now if that is true then all it seems is the committee is trying to do is give good match-ups for ratings and not true champions as to me a champion must play through any adversity that arises.

I still believe a 12/ 0 team could and should not make the playoffs if their schedule as a whole doesn't warrant it. I will give an example most here are familiar with.

Arkansas Games and opponents ranking at time of playing. And ranking at final of season

1. (L) #1 Auburn 45-21 Auburn wins SEC West same conference same division High Strength.......................................Current Rank #15

2. ( W )( Not Ranked) Nicholls 73-7 ok this is at best a good high school team. No strength

3. ( W )Texas Tech 49-28 except for the TCU game they have given close games all season Very good program

4. (W) N Illinois 52 -14 This is a 10-2 team ( Most years record like that is talking Major Bowl Game ) High Strength

5. ( L ) #6 TAMU 35 - 28 in OT High Strength Same division same conference...................................................................Current Rank out of top 25

6. ( L ) #7 Alabama 14-13 High Strength same division same conference..............................................................................Current Rank #1

7. ( L ) # 10 Georgia 45 -32 High Strength same division........................................................................................................Current Rank #9

8. ( W ) UAB 45- 17 Decent strength not ranked

9. ( L ) #1 Mississippi 17 -10 Same division and conference...................................................................................................Current Rank #4

10.( W ) #16 LSU 17-0 Same division and conference............................................................................................................Current Rank out of top 25

11. ( W ) #8 Ole Miss 30 - 0 Same division and conference....................................................................................................Current Rank #19

12. ( L ) #17 Mizz 21 - 14 same conference.............................................................................................................................Current Rank #17

6 Teams as of now are top 20 ranked teams, 8 teams during the season were ranked in the top 20 6 in the top 10. Arkansas blanked a number 16 and #8 team. The team obviously got better each game as the season went on and had probably the toughest schedule in all of NCAA football arguably.

Arkansas with a 6/6 record is more ( AND THE IS EXAMPLE ONLY FOR ARGUEMENT ) Worthy than FL ST based off the supposed criteria as we were told is by the committee.

Now here is one better Why Isnt Marshall in the talk of the Championship?

Hate to say it but im starting to think its still GOOD OLE BOYS and RATINGS not a true NC

Wow talk about no respect. This is how the Las Vegas odds-maker see this game. This is from the Stltoday.

Missouri has claimed the Southeastern Conference’s Eastern Division title, has won 10 road games in a row and is headed to the league’s title contest for the second year in a row.

But the SEC championship game opening line on Sunday at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook will have MU as a 14-point underdog to longtime national powerhouse Alabama.

does anyone think Nike might be "paying" Oregon players on the slide? If you were a top100 recruit would you go to Oregon?

Only if they paid me, LOL.

A local radio station has been talking all year about how good mizzou has been against the spread the last several years. They have gone as far as to call it the easiest money in sports...not sure they remember indiania or georgia, but the spread is a sure sign of the poor public perception of Mizzou. Vegas doesn't care about which teams are better they just care about how the public is going to bet and sets the line accordingly. Vegas has made lots of money from mizzou games this year for sure!
