crazy4fishin Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Have been own since wednesday afternoon - fished from Fall Creek to Lilley's. Using a pink Trout magnet anywhere from 4-6' depending on where I was at on 2lb line.... As others have stated wind or chop on the water is key to a quick bite if there is no wind just give the line a pull or two and that usually will trigger a strike or two. Yesterday morning caught about 30 all sizes up to quite a few that were pushing a pound....fighters all of them...even the dinks! Happy thanksgiving and fishing! C4F Crazy4fishinA Cornhusker
perchjerker Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Hey Craze what size trout magnet do you use and what color head, chrome or gold ? Thanks in advance and thanks for the report.
crazy4fishin Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 I think there is only one sie head, they have a ton of them at Lilley's...and as for the color, well I broke off quite a few so I used black, gold and silver - it really didnt seem to matter. Good luck C4F Crazy4fishinA Cornhusker
Members ALLSTAR1 Posted December 5, 2014 Members Posted December 5, 2014 There actually are 3 sizes of magnets. The largest are crappie magnets, next are trout magnets and there is also a really tiny one that I cannot remember the exact name. They are so small it is actually hard to get the plastic tail on them correctly. I catch more on the "regular" size trout magnets. I would think there are situations where the crappie magnets would be good in running water, etc. It is called a mini magnet.. here is a link... https://www.troutmagnet.com/store/Mini-Magnet-c-71.html
