Sore Thumbs Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 I'm not very good either. I got lucky once this year and won a little money. I get my butt kicked every time I go out. I must be a glutton for punishment cuz I keep going back. I spend almost all fishing time on Beaver trying to learn new areas and trying new things. Eventually it will pay off, but I haven't earned it yet. It is a humbling experience sometimes. For the most part I am self taught. I picked up the sport about 7 years ago and don't have many people to look to. That's why I enjoy looking at these Forums. With what I read here and my own trial and error someday I might actually be able to hold my own.
J-Doc Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I can relate. :-) Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Champ188 Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Sorry to add this Champ. We did not rid the lake of that striper. We tossed it back to feast on our diminishing shad population. ☺ LOL, Jason, we can forgive you this time given the tournament conditions. Sorry to hear of your loss. It hurts and always will, but you'll move on and take some good memories with you. And I'll try to remember to pray often for God's peace on you and your family. I have no comment on (1) the baitfish population in Beaver Lake; (2) stripers or (3) the effects of (1) and (2) on the population of LM, SM and spotted bass in Beaver Lake. I don't want to rankle anyone's fur over such matters.
Feathers and Fins Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 No Bait in Beaver Lake nothing to see move along. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
