Ham Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I feel ya man. I'll be on lower BSL tomorrow and I'll post a trip report with water level, water temp, water clarity, baits used, etc. I'll try to take some picture if the rain allows it so that certain people won't claim I'm a liar that never actually fishes. rangerman Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I wanna know what the hell happened to the walleye bite?'! Even you guys bass fishing should have picked up one here and there. Kinda concerns me.... Sorry come January I'll have something to add..
Ham Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 How long ago was the big walleye fish kill? My walleye numbers are way down this year. The wallleye guru that I talk to from time to time (in person not online) says that his numbers are down and the size is way down. He felt like we are still feeling the effects of that fish kill, but he feels like next ear a lot of the shorts will have grown into keeper size. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. mojorig Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 We saw several young of the year walleye in West Sugarloaf last night. The walleye kill occurred in 2011. Between MDC and AGFC, we continue to stock well over 500,000 plus walleye fingerlings each year. Members Tuffy Posted December 3, 2014 Members Posted December 3, 2014 I don't get to fish often (gotta work) and when I do, I don't often have much success. Sometimes I get lucky. I did get out for about 4 hours last Saturday. Fished around Pontiac to Point 12. Had two lmb on a crank crawl and that was it. I actually tried to fish the Ned, but it was really windy and I didn't have much luck. Sorry guys. I come here to learn from you guys. Hopefully one of these days I will get good enough to add some valuable content.

If you'll post what you tried, what success you had, and what you were thinking, you'll have posted more valuable content. Add a few photos, and it's better still. I don't always catch them like I want to, but I can usually scratch out a few fish,. I do post even when I zero. It's a big lake and I am still learning lots of it. There are so many variables to look at and consider. Knowing what ramps are good in a strong north wind or dangerous in a hard south wind, would be very helpful to someone like me that's still learning the lake.
