think ill stay in my boat from now on, I realize it's there job, but treating people like criminals,is not right. At Stockton I have always been treated with respect by the conservation.however we did have fun catching those smallest, also noticed a lot of suckers in the river. Anyway God bless all your families, and have a good year of fishing.

Yeah a SB would be a no-no. Interesting that he ran you for warrants though. I guess any contact with authority results in that kind of detainment these days. Must be an over abundance of wanted fugitives on the loose now.

Really ? When did that start ?

Not sure fw, but I recall the regs saying fishing was allowed from the whistle bridge to the wooden bridge in zone 3.

So that little 40 yard stretch between the bridge and the mouth is "closed to all fishing", like some kinda nit-picky buffer zone? How freaking ignert is that ?

I swear, my attitude towards that entire state park just keeps getting more negative. Am I really becoming that bad of a curmudgeon? I just can't get behind ANYTHING that goes on there anymore. Ugh!

I think that section below the wooden bridge has been closed to winter fishing for years. Around ten years ago I was fishing where the stream dumbs into the river and a guy came up and warned me not to cast into the spring branch or I could get a ticket.

I think the rule is to prevent people from catching trout at the end of the spring branch but claiming they were catching them in the river so they could keep them.

They do that buffer zone thing at Montauk each winter too. It is really retarded since that is precisely the spot the Browns get yanked out each summer. They seem to have it backwards.
