I keep hearing about limits of 10-11inchers coming out of 7-15 fow, but I haven't been able to pull it off yet.

Still doing good on LM and whites though.

I hauled my Blazer down there last weekend to try and get into some crappie but I never was able to get on a consistent pattern. Picked up a few here and there but it was usually one or no fish off a spot. I would pull up to a known brush pile and see a ton of specks on the fish finder sitting in and around the brush and I would drop a jig down and sometimes get hit and most times not.

When I did get one a would spend 20-30 minutes over that spot trying to get another one and nothing.

I finally switched to throwing a jerkbait and picked up some decent whites and some green bass but ended up letting everything go.

But it sure was nice being on the lake in mid-December with it being 60 and 65 degrees.

When I took the boat out a Coffman there were two old timers cleaning a nice mess of crappie and I asked them how they got them. They said pulled up to known brush pile and dropped their jigs down. I said that’s what I was doing and the one guy said you using crappie nibblers and I said no. he said gotta have them- makes a huge difference this time of year. I guess maybe he is right.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing over brush piles with crappie nibble for the last few weekends. Haven't caught more then 6 and that was my best day. The ones I did catch were pretty shallow 5-7 foot down in 12' of water. The pressure is going down Sunday, I might switch it up and try to catch a few cold water catfish:) I've been seeing a lot of big shad up by the banks when the sun is out.

Ia, certain most of the crappie are coming out of large marina and condo docks. By out of I mean not around you got to get on the doxk and fish straight down most times right off the center walkways.

Surprisingly no black crappie this weekend, just whites. 7-8' down. Nothing big.

I've been after crappie 3 times in the last couple weeks with mixed results. Had 30 keepers yesterday in the linn creek area. They were 20' deep and if I wasn't pulling over a limb I couldn't get a bite. Every thing I fished was just inside creek coves.
