Members JustFishin4Fun Posted February 12, 2015 Members Posted February 12, 2015 Why would I keep that ugly beast
Members Kevin Vam Dan Posted February 12, 2015 Members Posted February 12, 2015 Agressor, Why in the world would anyone keep a muskie? They are rare, and they are a true game fish. I bet you eat more crappie than that fish could ever dream of eating. Bass, catfish and walleye also eat crappie. Should we kill all of them too? And crappie are nowhere near the primary forage of a musky...just FYI. KVD Aggressor1988long 1

KVD well they are not a native fish so if you wanna keep introducing non game fish to our lakes im not offended but in all repect do the research on them. Any angler about his merits will tell you if you put one in your livewell every other fish you put in there will die.
Aggressor1988long Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 When you are out on the lake play close attention, muskie thrive on Missouri game fish and now wonder why where are all the big fish at fellows. Shad all,day at McDaniel but I guarantee you will not see it at fellows now. Not hacking on you but a neighbor,of mine studies muskie out there. He,is with mdoc.
Aggressor1988long Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 So what lake are they game fish to?,as far as I know, they were brought here. So now, tell me about Missouri game fish!!!!
Aggressor1988long Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Fyi they thrive on crappie look it up on the web. Im really not going on about this but just think you need to do some research.
BATCAB27 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I know nothing about the diet of a Musky, but there are Musky in Pomme, and also lots of crappie. Flysmallie 1

Are you saying if you had fish in your live well and then you put a musky in there that it would eat them all? That's laughable. I can't tell if that was a serious statement or not.

If he is with MDOC, I'm sure he wouldn't mind me contacting him to have him post about the topic on here. Where are the big fish at Fellows? All you have to do is go to the marina (or their Facebook site) to see all the pictures of the pigs that meat hunters, like yourself, consistently remove from the lake. It is amazing there is ANYTHING left in that lake with the lack of conservation many anglers partake in. And BATCAB27 hit it right on the nose, Pomme is loaded with crappie (among other fish)...and Pomme just happens to have been stocked with muskies since the early 60's. What is your explanation for that? I can't wait to hear it.
