I like that swimming action - mucho gracias!

The shadz and finesse worm swim the best, but I catch more fish swimming the cut bait. Not sure why. It really works as they push up on beds. When you hit that day they really start to lock down you can usually catch some running it over their heads way back in little cuts and pockets.

Deadsticking them in current, probably makes it wiggle as the water pushes past it.

I catch the creek bass by deadsticking or swimming.

Never tried shaking it, but will do next time.

The trick is in shaking it in place as much as possible. As you can see in the pool it is hard to do that on a tight line. The pool limited the ability to keep slack in the line, because the bait got too close to the rod, too quickly.

I am with you on the current. Would think just letting it sit would be enough most of the time.

Just tried the Ned for the first time for river smallies recently! I was impressed!

There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

Tip of the iceberg Bret. It gets so much better when the water is warmer. Crazy good.

I know those rivers in your neck of the woods, but only floated them back then.

Trust me, the Ned will absolutely work. I like to tight line it in moderate to light current.

I just reviewed some footage tonight from some filming I did yesterday, at one point I had 11 hookups on 18 casts, I just had to count to see. I had a lot better hookup when I did a light twitch as it drifted. After watching that , I actually underestimated how good I did with it. My partner wasn't using one at first, but he quickly got in my Ned stash....lol..

Glad you enjoyed it. Nothing quite like it.
