Members Robert Posted January 19, 2007 Members Posted January 19, 2007 I have been using Firefox for a long time. I will not use IE or Outlook. We are very lucky we have open source programs out there to use. I do not use Thunderbird as I have never had a problem with Eudora. I just upgraded my version of Eudora. I also use AVG for an antivirus program. I automatically get updates on AVG daily, and have AVG scan my PC daily.

Kansas Fly Fisher Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Okay, I downloaded and started using it. I like it so far. I really like the spell check; this ol' redneck really needs that feature. John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 21, 2007 Author Root Admin Posted January 21, 2007 ok Firefox is acting up for me for some reason. The forum is working about half way. Some images aren't loading. Might have to reinstall.

strangercreek Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 For users at work you can also try this www.mobilefirefox.com It lets you use a copy of the browser from flash drive, external disk, CD etc. It also keeps your internet history etc untraceable (keeps it on the media from which it is run). You can use this granted that your work computer is not locked down against mounting other storage devices. As for IE 7.0. I like it. I have allowed it to install on the majority of my client networks. It does a better job of protecting against the bad stuff. The tabbed browsing is nice also.
