Even the regs they do have they don't follow. We discussed that here last year here. Whats her name from the St. Louis paper was here and involved in the discussion too.

Hope she come back.

Non compliance with a lot of regulations is definitely a problem. But around here we hate the government so much we won't allow anything like actual enforcement to happen. We're more interested in "freedom" than keeping others from messing up their neighbor's whatever you care to name.

Frankenstein deer.

Why even bother to shoot them. Just have them slaughtered and mount the head. It would be about as sporting. If they are infecting the wild herds it needs to stop. The deer around here look really healthy, of course they don't have racks like that.

I saw a nice rack once, but she smacked me!

Deer Farms?? Genetically selected deer? Farm raised bucks with huge antlers for sale? Geezus Christmas!! Have people gone totally nuts??

How many deer farms are there in Missouri? And if there is evidence of CWD, then they should be shut down.

I have wondered how these deer farms make money. Do they sell just the big bucks for outrageous dollars to private land owners who entice leases with the hopes of a big trophy? Do they sell deer for the meat? I can't imagine how they are profitable when most deer hunters can go out and shoot a deer for free during deer season.

I, for one, appreciate the job the Missouri Department of Conservation does in our state. And I think there are many more conservationists and environmentalists in Missouri than there are big business people chasing the almighty dollar. I hope Missourians will stand up to the threats of these business people.

The biggest freak deer bring $50,000 and more each. They're raised in a relatively small area with a high fence all around. Shooters pick the deer they want in the price range they can afford. Then they go out and shoot it as it walks buy toward the feeder. They have it mounted and hang it in their house so they can impress people about what great hunters they are.

Conspiracy theory. Nobody is gonna pay 50k to shoot a deer.

There might be a couple of rich peckerheads out there that might do that but they are too few in number to form a full-time biz around.

Looks like East Fork white fails out of Albany charges $7000 for 160-170 class bucks, with bigger animals priced on request, and a quick google search comes up with stocker bucks running upwards of ten grand. thats some conspiracy!
