A normal, early March. Which is more consistent? Elk River or lower lake (Honey/Drowning Creek)?

I'd say Honey Creek is more consistent because it's not as likely to muddy up. I like them both though. That being said, I've had some of my best days for all species of fish in Elk River over the years.

Early March I would go with the lower end. Elk is always the last arm to get the white bass run. Providing that is what your talking about?

Right now everywhere is clear as a bell. I heard up to 30' visibility in places. Elk River is usually clearer than most though on a consistent basis.

I think it's lack of runoff but others are freaking out over the zebras. After March grand will be grand again and all will be well.

I would have to say lack of run off as well. Haven't had the flood of the Neosho or Spring rivers yet.

Thumbs, let me know if you hear anything. I'm hoping to make the trip on Sunday.
