This time I had to go do it from shore, sometimes getting back to basics of a Rod and Reel casting a lure from shore is just needed to bring the kid out in you and remind you of why you love fishing.

I hit the water at 4pm slight north wind birds working bait and Bucktail tied on. I managed 5 stripers and one that spooled me ( been many years since that happened ) I couldn't stop it turn it do nothing but watch it rip the line off the reel.

Anyway conditions were Frontal, light N-wind, Lure was a Bucktail 3/4oz.

A pair of the 5 landed

You won't catch any crappie on those jigs, I think a little big. Now I know why you gave me those little crappie jigs so I wouldn't catch any stripers. It had to be fun from shore. I remember those days also. I'm impressed.

Yeah. He kept torture-texting me photos while I was in a meeting at work and then I had to pick up kids before a meeting after work.

Timing is everything and he has the time. I don't. And it's killing me. Too much going on to take a day off.

One day, I'll get to enjoy such fun and catch some big ones.

You are a fish killer FF. I had a pretty good day one time kind of like that from the bank on the Red River below the dam at Texoma. Lot of fun. You do it on a regular basis. Kudos.
