vonreed Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I did a little fishing out of the kayak yesterday afternoon till evening. I put in at Beaver creek and didn't catch anything after about an hour or so. Then I packed up and went to the Barker Hole and within 1 1/2 hrs of trolling with the kayak I caught a 20 inch walleye and an average white bass. I caught both of them on a grey/white Flicker Shad. PS: DuckyDoty needs to post reports again! LOL
duckydoty Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I have not had anything worthy of reporting lately. Wife and I fished 5 hours around Snap and KDock last Tuesday and caught 18 whites and two bass. I fished by myself the day before that as a major front blew in and caught 2 short eyes a couple whites and a crappie. Will be back out there Friday and Sunday. If anything worthy of reporting is caught, I'll let you know. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners

duckydoty Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 He swam away after getting a picture of his ugly mug. Was really hoping he was a walleye and to be honest, was a little disappointed when I finally saw what it was. Ham 1 A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Was really hoping he was a walleye and to be honest, was a little disappointed when I finally saw what it was. Lol. That's how it was for me in Viriginia on the New River. I had a light tap and set the hook into a large powerful fish that stayed down and stayed down and stayed down. Our guide started to wonder if it was a Musky. I've never caught a musky and quickly warmed to the idea. So I was a little disappointed when a fat 20 inch smallie finally came to the surface. Disappointed by a 20 ich smallie. Lol. duckydoty 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
vonreed Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 Yeah catching them bass can be a little disapointing sometimes if you're trying to catch walleye. But they are edible up to a certain size. I would like to get into a bunch of whites. I have yet to catch enough fish in 1 trip to have a dinner for the family. It's only been 1 or 2 here or there for snacks, lol.
