Brett thanks. Also My big fish spot is still protected. I didn't post it in this video. To add to that I'm sure you have all of those spots from the video marked now marked in your gps as we speak lol.

Nice work with the GP. It takes a while to figure everything out, but your doing good. The main problem I have had with mine is the battery life. Hard to just leave it on until fish are caught. I use the remote to start shooting when I hook up, but have very few shots of the bite and setting the hook. Do you know of any better ways to keep power to the camera? Thanks for posting as that's some good fish catching.

I just bought a Wasabi battery pack with charger off Ebay for cheap. Charge up 2 of the stock batteries that come with the camera and then the 2 Wasabi batteries and just switch them out as they run out of juice.

Thanks ab: I have two batteries and an adapter that charges using the receptacle in my boat. I was looking for a way to wire directly from the boat receptacle to the camera, but based on what your saying you are just using more batteries.

fishingaddiciton the new thing to do is use your "cigarette" lighter in your boat and have it directly connected to your camera all day. This seems the best way and you can get all the footage you want. Another tip is after you catch a fist is to end the recording and start a new one. This will help finding your catches and cut editing time down.

Good tips Alex. Hadn't thought of stopping the footage so there is a break in recording so you know when you catch a fish. I have also heard about wiring direct power using the cigarette lighter outlet. I just went the battery route but the cigarette lighter is probably a better option.

I learned the stop footage from the Bassmaster guy who does all of their go pro videos. The only problem with the cigarette lighter is when you have other mounts not on the console. I just recently purchased a chest mount I'm looking forward to using and it's impossible to link that up. I also purchased a pole for underwater footage but that is hard to get footage as well. Here is a video my friend made on the current River of us catching fish. Don't judge lol

Nice video again Alex. Beer and Fishing on a hot summer day with buddies. Can't beat that.

Good stuff, Alex, although I counted at half a dozen fish-landing violations. You are in timeout for 12 minutes at the beginning of your next trip. :XD:

I am just starting to set the GP on my boat so any info would help. Where are the best locations to place the GP and what mounts do you use?

I assume to wire it direct to the cigarette light you have to purchase the skeleton case?

What video setting have you found to be the best?
