eyedabassman Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 A guy I had talked to at BPS told me that there is some real good bass fishing up by Forsyth and also by the landing? I thought that Taneycomo had just trout. I am kinda new down here, so what he told me is that true? And if so where is a good place to put my boat in? Thanks Dan
vonreed Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 It is full of bass on the lower end where the water starts to warm up. Creek arms warm up better than the main lake. You can put in at Rockaway Beach for free. The ramp is easy to find.
eyedabassman Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 Is Rockaway or Empire park better to put in at???
Fish24/7 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Empire park is very clean w/ clean toilets, flat parking lot w/ a short ramp and courtesy dock. Last time i was there was a couple years ago. All that stuff helps make my trip much easier by myself. ..about rockaway , don't think I've ever launched/been there.
vonreed Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I've never put in at Empire, but it is probaby a better ramp.
Hunter91 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Sometimes the Rockaway ramp can be shallow. Whit Warriors 1
evilcatfish Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I can promise you there are no bass in Taneycomo so don't waste your time. Carry on bs1827 1

Bluff-Bassin Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I tried fishing there I want to say around September near the dam for bass. Only had 1 bass that particular day. Warmest water in the coves we could find was under 60 compared to around 80 on bull shoals and table rock main lake. Enjoyed it though
