Quillback Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Probably about a 90% chance they lose, but I am hoping for the best.
Deadstream Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I guess you are. 90% chance? Im hoping for the upset myself.
Danimal Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Hoping for the upset too. On the bright side; a road loss to a #1 team we've beaten the last 3 contest shouldn't hurt us much in the polls. RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!
Guest Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I give us a 50/50 chance, gotta play full court press & run the floor. You dont want to play half court with all those big guys. Keep in mind, Coach Cal has a losing record against Arkansas. but its a road game so I dont expect us to win
Quillback Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 Beat down. Thought they could do better than that.
Jerry Rapp Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 you can't beat Calipari and his NBA minor league payroll.
Al Agnew Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Calipari was interviewed early in the season and asked what his goal was for the season. The interviewer expected to hear him say it was a national championship, or to go undefeated. Nope, he said it was to get at least 8 of his players drafted. He said he cared most about the kids, not the school. In one way, that would seem to be a good thing. In another way, he's saying the education is irrelevant, the team is secondary, the traditions of the school aren't important. If the NBA didn't have the rule that kids could be drafted after the equivalent of one year in college, but instead had a three year rule like the NFL, maybe it would be better. Obviously, Calipari recruits by telling the parents and kids that they are good enough to go right into the NBA and playing for him for a year will get them there. And it looks like he's right with the kids he got this year. Can't blame the kids for going that route. Can't really blame their parents, either...who wouldn't want their kid to be making at least a half million a year after one year in college? A college education kinda pales in significance compared to that.
Quillback Posted March 2, 2015 Author Posted March 2, 2015 Yep Calipari's sales tactics are hard to beat. Arkansas was dwarfed by Kentucky's size. So many big guys on that team, I think the Harrison boys are both 6'6", pretty tall for college guards. Only weakness I can see is Kentucky's offense. Their shooting is a little weak and they can have trouble with turn overs. Arkansas D played them pretty well in the first half, forced quite a few turnovers - but Arkansas offence failed to take advantage of the turnovers, either turning it over themselves, or missing shots, and they were missing shots mainly due to poor shot selection.
