Ron Burgundy Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Some friends have been catching some around Beavertown off the bank using chubs....I know of two 9lbers caught .....there was some males caught in the last couple days. Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
Members 78dave Posted March 12, 2015 Author Members Posted March 12, 2015 Good to see some folks catching them. Thanks for the feedback. Not arriving until the 21st, but hope a few are still biting!
PigSooner Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 With upper Beaver muddying up, I was thinking about launching at HI and heading up stream this weekend, searching for Wally and Whitey... Any reports if the whites are moving in yet?
Members crkoester Posted March 13, 2015 Members Posted March 13, 2015 I would guess you are quite a bit too early to intersect with whites in the White River arm below Beaver. They tend to run later than the upper Beaver fish (presumably due to lower temps in the tailwater) and even the upper reaches of Beaver are still too cold to be firing just yet.
Ron Burgundy Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 I saw two good size schools of fish on graph on Thursday near Butler Creek that I believe was Whites. Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
Members 78dave Posted March 15, 2015 Author Members Posted March 15, 2015 Cold nights have kept water temps down. Hope to see some warmer weather ahead and warmer nights. Be there next week
Members Middleton369 Posted March 15, 2015 Members Posted March 15, 2015 My days off finally intersected with good weather and I will be off tomorrow and Tuesday. Was planning to chase whites or crappie somewhere, but with all the muddy water may not be doing that. Was thinking of putting in at Houseman and trying to locate the walleye. May be too early but will post if I find them
Members Beaverdamstore Posted March 18, 2015 Members Posted March 18, 2015 2 under size eyes above Houseman. Could be stragglers from last season. Still too nice to sit at home and watch tv. Jim
Members 78dave Posted March 19, 2015 Author Members Posted March 19, 2015 Jim, at least you got their mouth open!
hoglaw Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 I think this is one of Phil's case-in-point threads. New(ish) poster asks for reports, mentions dates he'll be on the water a few times, then never reports back. Did you catch them Dave? All kinds of walleye in the river above Beaver Lake right now but it's a grind to catch them, or at least it was for me. SmallyWally 1
