ollie Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Went yesterday and felt weird the whole time there with the time change and all, but managed to catch a couple. One bow and one brown was all I managed. Went last week after they stocked and just slayed them. There have been a lot caught out since that last week I could tell. I caught mine on an olive jig I tie myself, but everyone else and their family was down there catching them on power bait. It doesn't take long for them to get caught out. When I was leaving there were 4 guys with over 10 fish that I could see. Doesn't take long before they are all gone! When I got back into town I swung by Hickory to see if I could catch some there. HA! I must have counted over a dozen people fishing down there. I just gave that idea up for the day and headed back home. Great day to be out though. Members wayneblevins Posted March 9, 2015 Members Posted March 9, 2015 I went Thursday and caught at least 20 I just quit counting. I did not keep any them. Friday I took my daughter with me (she is 2 1/2 ) and she helped me catch 4 that we kept because she did not want to let them go. I think they need to change stocking locations though. most of the fish that I seen were just down form the first bridge at the mill if they stocked the wilder water the fish would be there longer. On Thursday I caught them on a black rooster tail on Friday with my daughter we used power bait she had to pick the color guess what it was pink I have a photo of her with her fish on my phone but don't know how to post it ness 1

Members wayneblevins Posted March 10, 2015 Members Posted March 10, 2015 That is a nice bass Ollie I have tried to catch some of the bass at capps with no luck. I might have to try a little harder with a small crankbait or a 1/4 oz jig
