fished around state park, just stupid green fish (2 keeps that were released) no crappie water temps 44.7-48, did not have the parking issues that appeared at son's creek, surely they were catching them. Better days ahead. \

You always have those guys at 39 bridge that don't wanna walk and park on up the hill where you can't get backed down to launch or pull out. Then you gotta do the 12 point turn to maneuver the little space you have to work with. We actually picked up a guy's trailer and slid it over last year just so we could get out.

39 bridge area is extremely shallow even going half mile down the bluff the depth only averaged around 7' and above the bridge on the flat around the big stumps its under 4 feet and you get in 2fow pretty fast if your not careful. very few guys will run up to 39 from main lake because its so shallow thats why even on a monday there was trucks and trailers half way up the road on both sides.

FISHED sons creek area also put in at 39 bridge, we ended up with 9 crappie caught 3 around stumps with cork & jig but had to hit a bunch of stumps to get the 3, found the rest out on the flats in about 6 - 7 feet water

Wish I could help out with the prespawn info everyone. Been fishing Stockton for five years and just seem to struggle this time of year. With my work schedule I might get out once a week at best. As we all know, the pattern can change massively in a week's time. Heck, it can change from hour to hour!

I did get out on Monday and don't have much to report on (at least the catching part). Fished from the CC bridge north to the cove just south of Shaw's Bluff. Managed one keeper crappie, a good handful of dinks and a white.

Tried vertical jigging, casting/slow rolling a jig, and trolling #5 Flickers. Targeted depths anywhere from 5 to 20 feet. Main channel, channel edges, coves, timber, brush, points, you name it!

Plenty of show on the depth finder in the main channel. Not so much in the coves.

Water temps started off in the upper 40s in the main channel and warmed into the low 50s. We did find mid 50 temps in the coves. Water visibility was about a foot on average...but varied from 6" to almost two feet at times.

I hope some of you all can figure them out. Thanks to those that have shared info in this thread. :)
