Members kazoobass Posted April 2, 2015 Members Posted April 2, 2015 darn... roll tide... but I do own a couple war eagles. darn it. Long story about me and bama but I dad played at Tennessee and we have always had to be opposite so I picked bear Bryant at age 5. Hate northern teams other than where I played. Almost sort of beat Auburn my senior year. Lost by a couple tds but we turned the ball over in the red zone.
5bites Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Whaaaaaaa....? You can't catch good fish in dirty water on table rock! Champ188 and Sac River Jim 2
Members kazoobass Posted April 2, 2015 Members Posted April 2, 2015 You have to remember I live in kvd land literally same town. The bass pro shops here is owned by his brother and we outfitted all our lake Michigan boats from there. So lots of strike king stuff around here.
Champ188 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Understood, kazoo, but here's some good news on the War Eagle spinnerbaits. They are named for the War Eagle River in Northwest Arkansas, not the battle cry of Auburn. Thank goodness for that because I, too, must cheer for Bama over Auburn when forced to pick. Of course, my true allegiance is to the Razorbacks. Wooooo, PIG Sooie!!!!
shark bait Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 I'd have to say War Eagle Auburn! I do like Bama and Tennessee though. Becky B
motoman Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Somewhere tonight Champ and Donna are shaking with glee. Nicely done.- WooWee Becky! We'll done there!:-)........I figured ole Champ and Donna might be giddy over this report.:-) - But I do have one question if you don't mind telling..........were you slowwwwwww rolling that blade along? Or burning it? - Reason I ask; is only time I've gotten bit on the blade at The Rock is I'd have to let it sink down out of sight; then slowwwwwwly bring it back, just fast enough to keep the blades moving.........and always deep enough for it not to be visible from the surface. - Any other speeds or close enough to the surface to see it.........big zero.:-( Champ188 1
shark bait Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 I was not burning it but not slow rolling it either. The water was not brown but was murky so it didn't take much to not be able to see it. It was a white spinner bait. She was in about 4 or 5 ft of water. None of the bites I got were hard and most were right up in or close to the brush or lay downs. Becky B
