Sac River Jim Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 my 1197c and 1158c got wet on wednesday. i took them off and dried them off in the house but when i put them back on this morning they booted up but shut down in a few seconds. I think the key pads have moisture in them. All I can think to do is seal them up in a big 25lb bag of rice. Does anyone have any other suggestions I can try.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Maybe the cans of dessicant meant for gun safes? Have used those a few times on things. Same concept really. Sac River Jim 1

dtrs5kprs Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Have to love it when there is an easy fix. Was a little surprised, had not heard much about birds getting wet like that. Lowrance would have been easier to believe. Champ188 1
