Baxter crappie fishing

Coming down for my usual spring trip next weekend for crappie and to see the parents. Been coming for many years but have never slain the paper mouths! Was thinking its time to change my strategy. Any suggestions out there, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Ron, I'm trailering boat from trace hollow down 86, where's the closet public ramp to put in on the kings? I believe the boat is too slow to navigate there.

There is a place called Hickory Hollow Resort that puts u way up Kings River right in the middle of crappie as soon as the boat gets wet but it's tricky to find if you're not familiar with the area .....GPS probably get you there tho.... Other place is Viola its a nice corp launch both places I speak of u turn off 86 onto hwy 39 at Carr Lane.

I would pretty much stay where you are. Big and little Indian Creek have produced some of the biggest strings if Crappie anywhere on the Lake. It's pretty muddy now but should clear quick
