Drum today

I am new to the lake. Caught a drum today. I was surprised by the size. How big do they get here? I enjoy the forum. It helps me get some ideas on where to start learning the lake.

That is a nice one, but they get much bigger. I would not be surprised to see a 25+ pound drum from Beaver.

A few years back I had a buddy that worked a farm near the river. After war eagle mill flooded bout 5 years back, he went through the pond and found a massive drum. I mean 25# +. Was insane to see what can get caught in a pond.

What did you catch it on, if you dont mind me asking?

I was looking for walleye with a shad rap and caught this guy by accident. Put him back to grow up.

I love catching them. They bite hard and fight hard. In the clean water areas of BSL, they take on a bronze overtone. I hope they enjoy the zebra mussels.
