Macsimus Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Fished the Indian Pt area mid to late afternoon for 4 hours. Caught 15 but only 4 were keepers. Fished a 1/8 Ned with green pumpkin Zero on a long, secondary point with a lot of nice rock. Fished 10-15' and marked a lot of fish in 14-16'. Water temps 57-58, overcast, and a SE wind that shifted to the E and then shifted again to the NE. Fish seemed a little off and I had to let the Ned soak a little longer than my impatient self would prefer. Caught my biggest fish down here so far, a 19" smallie (I think?) - see 2nd pic below - possibly a meanmouth? Can't seem to get enough of these smallies. Being from the northland, it is my favorite by a long margin and to be able to catch them down here is just a bonus. Porker 19" Smallie/Meanmouth?? Quillback 1 "There was a time that I didn't fish, but I cannot remember it."
Riverwhy Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Nice smallmouth. I put meanmouth, sasquatch and chucacabra in the same esteemed lore. Great time of year to be fishing.
Members jackman724 Posted April 15, 2015 Members Posted April 15, 2015 Beautiful smallie...love that CHUNK of a spot just as much. Can't wait to get back down there the 24th. 9 more days!!!
Champ188 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Looks like a pure-bred smallmouth to me. But give me that line stretcher in the top photo any day. Love those spots. I try to leave the brown ones for Donna. huntest 1

dtrs5kprs Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 You boys can keep your spots. Give me the brown ones any day. Fast, strong, and angry at the world in general. Champ188, huntest and Macsimus 3
