Members Fly Is Life Posted April 19, 2015 Members Posted April 19, 2015 We got up in the mornin and got our boat into the water and started going to the coves. We cought 1 limit with 4 people in the boat at one cove. We took a break during the rain and cleaned the fish. After the rain we got back out onto the water till sundown we cought almost 40 crappie in total! Great day over all. We cought a couple on blue ice buy we cought most of em on crappie minnows (live bait). 2FOW to about 6FOW
Aggressor1988long Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 so you caught one limit and went back out?
Jerry Rapp Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I know what you are asking aggressor, but you read it wrong. But, just think how many went out the last few days and caught several limits in a few days, much less one day, cleaned them, and put them in the freezer. There are a lot of freezers with crappie in them that far exceed the Possession Limit.
Aggressor1988long Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I cant afford it 75.00 a fish. Thought maybe you didnt know but I read it wrong. Wish I could go twice a day but my gmc loves the gas.and so does my boat, tomorrow is my last vacation day so hopefully if I get there about 4:00am ill get a limit of crappie. slab slinger and Sac River Jim 2
slab slinger Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 With all the fast action and limits this time of yr a guy can get himself in trouble without knowing it. I had to go get me a fish counter cause im the worlds worst on remembering how many i got in the box. I don't the warden would believe me it was A mistake miss counting the fish. Haha. Wow its up to $75 a fish now! Ill definitely be keeping track better now.

I leave one end hanging out the live well. It makes for easy counting for each person in the boat.
ten_scoach Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Any time a warden suspects a game violation they have authority to investigate. No warrant needed.
