Justin Spencer Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 For sure the most early season baseball fun I can remember, I just hope we don't get the whole team suspended by the all star break! GloryDaze Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Why don't you ask Moose and Cain what they really think about his actions? Coincidence they keep getting hit.. doubt it. If I was one of those guys the next time I got hit, after the game I would kick that skinny dudes arss. Better yet, put him in the NL for a few games and let him do this. I'm sure his attitude will change when HE takes a fastball in the ear. I am really getting tired of this "we haven't been respected for 30 years bs" hardly any of these guys have been around long enough to have been treated that way. It's really sad to watch such a truly good team turn the attention away from their talent and make it a side show every night out. Follow me on Twitter @DazeGlory
ness Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I grew up loving the Royals. But over the years I've been conditioned to expect the Royals to be bad. I don't mean out of contention, I mean embarrassing. Last year they were up and down all season and I wondered if they really had it. Even after last-year's post season I was skeptical -- I mean teams get hot, right? Well, I'm doing something tonight that I haven't done in years. I'm watching the Royals in April. On a Friday night no less! We've got offense, defense, pitching and best of all -- smart play. I even know their names. They're good guys that appreciate the fans. When Hosmer bought drinks for the house down in Westport last fall, it really set things in a different direction as far as player's connection with fans. Kids are going to games again because their team is good and they've got a favorite player, not because it's just something to do. This is fun!!! Justin Spencer and bs1827 2 John
Quillback Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 Yep it is a fun team to watch. I'm in a sort of baseball no-mans land in NW AR. The FOXARS channel is split between Cards and Royals games, but so far this year they have been showing a lot of Royals games. I also get every Rangers game on FoxSSW. We have a Royals AA team here and KC is the closest MLB team to the area, but for some reason they just don't have a big fan base down here. Maybe success will change that.
KCRIVERRAT Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I think teams are trying to put the Royals back in their place thinking last year was a fluke. Yes, they got hot at the right time and believed in themselves like overnight. They're young and they get excited and celebrate. So far we've played nuthin' but teams in our division. Wait until we play the Tigers... and even the Cards. Sale hit Moose in the head. What would've happened if ANY of our pitchers hit one of the Sox the same way? Teams are trying to get into the Royals heads and so far it's working against them. We've won every brawlgame. These guys will not back down. This team is the team KC fans have waited on for 30 years. ness and Smalls21 2 HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
Norm M Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Ventura will get a rep amongst umps and league officials that can only hurt him in the long run. Even if the ball slips and accidentally hits someone he is more likely to get tossed, which can only hurt the Royals. That same rep could lead to a longer suspension next time, again, hurts the Royals. I have no horse in this race, I'm a Cubs fan. what a long strange trip it's been , put a dip in your hip, a glide in your stride and come on to the mother ship , the learning never ends
Quillback Posted April 26, 2015 Author Posted April 26, 2015 Doesn't seem right that Ventura got a 7 game suspension and Smardjiza only got 5. If they give Ventura 7, same should go for Smardjiza. ness and Justin Spencer 2
Norm M Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 shoot Sale tried to get into the royals clubhouse afterwards, out to earn a couple games just for stupidity . what a long strange trip it's been , put a dip in your hip, a glide in your stride and come on to the mother ship , the learning never ends

Quillback Posted April 27, 2015 Author Posted April 27, 2015 Samardzija came flying out of the dugout and launched himself into the scrum. He got lucky and got knocked to the ground just in time to miss that haymaker Volquez threw at him.
