Members soardangler Posted April 29, 2015 Members Posted April 29, 2015 Hey everyone and thanks in advance! First off I a usually fish the bluffs east of high point but like the title says I'm talking my kids fishing, so I definitely don't want them out there on those bluffs. It's not my 10 yr old daughter I'm worried bout it's my half her age son that I don't want to risk being out there. So the big question, any good bank fishing areas I could take them to or fishing docks at Stockton.
Sac River Jim Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 id get some minnows/worms and go to the fishing pier at the ruark bluff east campground. nice place to park, bathroom right up the road theres a picnic table on the dock and some decent bluegill and crappie fishing off the end of it. the dock has rails around it too.
fishinwrench Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Parents are so awesome these days ! Back when I was a pup nobody cared how miserable, scared, or in danger I was. Sac River Jim and Lifes2Short 2
wuteversbitin424 Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 There is a road if you dont already know about it called e475 about two or so miles before highpoint turn on 123. Turn left and take the white gravel road forward instead of following the pavement. Go almost to end and turn right. At top of hill turn at first left if you have 4x4 and follow down and to the right until you cant drive any more. Thats a spawning cove and should be holding some males out towards the trees to the left. Ps i would take my 2 yr old there. Quite a bit of room to sit and run around but bring chairs!
