OBBT Staff Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 While that does make sense we have been over this before on the forum. BPS and Oakley team up for the event and therefore they are going to have the weigh in at the BPS Long Creek Marina. If they are the ones sponsoring the event, catering, etc then they get to call the shots and of course want the event held on their properties. This^^ As we've discussed in the past multiple weigh in locations aren't an option and our overall set up can't be replicated at another venue. We are there for a reason and that reason is Bass Pro Shops. If someone chooses not to fish because of that we understand that they're entitled to their opinion/decisions but we can't for the life of us imagine why someone would want to miss this event. You can trailer to the weigh in location and/or fish a little closer to the weigh in location. Lot's of options. Looking forward to seeing everyone in a couple of weeks!
OBBT Staff Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 One more week! We can't wait! All reg info at www.oakleybigbass.com

Members otey mc Posted May 11, 2015 Members Posted May 11, 2015 Is there anything going on around the weigh in area? I saw someone posted about a free lunch? Didn't there used to be a dinner or something the night before at Big Cedar?

In fact, the actual percentage of entry fees returned to the anglers doesn't seem to be revealed on the tournament website.

Didn't there used to be a dinner or something the night before at Big Cedar? They used to have a KVD dinner on Friday night at Big Cedar but not sure they do that anymore. Also, yes the lunch they provide is FREE (along with your paid entry). So I guess it is not free technically but it's included in your $160 entry fee. At least that's how it's been the past 3 years I've fished it.
OBBT Staff Posted May 11, 2015 Author Posted May 11, 2015 We will be serving food at Bass Pro in Springfield from 3-7pm and as always during the event at Long Creek Marina on Saturday and Sunday. Payouts for our events are guaranteed and clearly listed on the website. Thanks everyone.
