Members Ryan G Posted April 29, 2015 Members Posted April 29, 2015 Headed down this weekend from school to see if I can hit the spawn. Talked to my dad who was down last weekend and said not many caught and still out deep. Anyone catching them on the banks/ are they still full of eggs? Thanks for the input, il report back Monday. Happy Fishing!
fishinwrench Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Last night at 2am the lake was at 658.0 This morning it was 657.2 Until Ameren ceases their little game spawning activity will be flakey at best.
Members rblackburn Posted April 30, 2015 Members Posted April 30, 2015 Im catching a lot of males around brush piles in 8 feet or less of water near the 12mm of the Big Niangua. The females that I do catch, I am letting go. Muddy Water baits in milk blue and electric chicken are doing best and having luck on bobby garland pink and pearl slab slay'r. I am noticing that the crappie are being really temperamental with their bite with the subtle rises and drops. You will have to try different colors and weights even depths to get on a good bite. I got skunked tonight on the boat, but caught a couple 10's and 12's from the dock. Good luck!
WeekendWarrior Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 The crappie bite has been good on the banks here around the tan-tar-a area from around 7:30 pm till about 9:30 pm. Last 2 nites had a limit one night and 8 keepers, last night just casting from dock with black/blue with chartreuse tail grub. When cleaning them eggs were not bloody. conorsixtakc and Seth 2

She was the only keeper in about a half hour, I also hooked a couple sun fish and a tiny smallmouth.
