WT high 60's

now 665 and falling

clear

I have been talking to several anglers the last ten days who have been fishing all over the lake and this is what they are telling me. If you go out early at dawn and it's fairly calm try a topwater around the brush where bass are/were spawning, and watch for schooling activity again later in the day. Clouds will help prolong the topwater bite. On windy days the spinnerbait and crankbait bite has been good on shallow windblown pockets, flats , and points. Sunny days w/ a little breeze four and five inch grubs are working on the brown bass and walleye in 12-30'. Trolling cranks in 17-30' on the bluffs is also working for walleye. Main lake points, secondary points in coves, and bluffs in the creeks have been pretty good locations with all this recent generation.

I've been working a bunch lately so last night on my way home I finally got to try a newly painted purple brownie red fin and caught a handful of spots in less than 30 minutes on it just fishing from the bank! Strikes were vicious!(pics later) Starting to see a few pods of bass fry around docks too.
